Why Karnataka has increased petrol and diesel prices
The price of petrol has surged by 3 rupees bringing the rate in a city like bangaluru to 102 r84 PES per liter up from the previous rate of 9.84 rupees similarly the price of diesel has also increased by 3 rupees and 2 PES raising the cost per liter in Bengaluru,
from 8593 Rupees to 88.9 5 rupees the increase come as part of the government's effort to boost Revenue but it has drawn widespread criticism from various quarters
the BJP is now demanded a roll back of sales tax hike and threatened a Statewide protest on June 17th rajel they have to roll back its decision immediately people were expecting takat 8,500 rupes into their account
As promised by Rahul Gandhi on the contrary they have been hugely burdened by the increase in the petroleum products this is an outcome of guarantee schemes pursued by the state government chief minister Sidra mayaya.
Defended the fuel hike the BJP the opposition in Karnataka has stated that they will hold a Statewide protest unless and until this this decision is rolled back by the government they're also alleging that the government has hiked up the prices,
only to fill their empty coffers that all the money has been spent for the five guarantees and now the government has no choice but to up the prices of fuel and they will protest until the prices are restored to status quo .
